Our first ever Heritage Day!

Scarisbrick Hall Heritage Day

We had a fantastic time hosting Scarisbrick Hall’s first ever Heritage Day on Saturday 21st April! Over 400 local people came to visit this beautiful building on an equally beautiful day.

A fantastic display by Ormskirk Historical Society explored the history and heritage of the local area and Lancashire Garden’s Trust delivered fascinating tours of the gardens and grounds with over 50 people attending each tour.

The children’s activities were a hit too, with a pirate treasure hunt, story telling and a craft workshop inspired by local cartographer Gerard Swarbrick.

Gerard’s maps and plates were very well received as was the man himself, his charisma and stories won everyone over.

It was also great to host the Tick Tock Community Choir who performed to us in the atmospheric Great Hall.

We have received wonderful feedback from those who attended and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future! If you would like to hear about future events, please make sure to sign up to our mailing list.
